Kimchee

Im sitting in the RV, the exhaust fan is running in a vainglorious attempt to remove some of the smell of the kimchee vegan burger Im eating. All my food has been microwaved thus far, i dare not think about what is happening to may body….
The mountain today is epic. The snow is wind blown and coming in gales, waves, sheets as with rain. The crystals are so fine and precise, not a single one falling out of place.
Best snow of the season, of course, I’m here..
The game is on, NFL playoffs, Seahawks are playing, its a big deal, thats why I’m the 12th man.
Now for some vegan chili, Joanie, Pete’s wife, pete my buddy who’s a good snow boarder, his wife made us vegan chili, vegan shepherds pie and vegan chocolate cake, I’m in heaven, I don’t even care about the microwave radiation I’m bathing in!

A Few Days Later-
Im back at Pete’s house now, Im beat, I was boarding constantly, I have muscles that I didn’t know about, people at Stevens Mountain are so rad, the snow was EPIC and life is good.
We were on the mountain when the lights went out, night skiing, THAT was a crazy time, Pete and I decided to just go for it – RAD!
Such cool people, so very cool, ok, time to crash, Im beyond beat and tomorrow I fly to Hawaii…. =]

The mountain was beyond beautiful.  Riding the lift, looking down on a sea of snowladen evergreens, snow that is constantly falling at varying speeds from lazy to blistering, literally falling in sheets like rain….

we went down the mountain during one of our runs at night and after a couple turns, the mountain lost power, so there we were, Pete and I, what to do…?  We decided to keep on going, one of the best moments as it was far beyond surreal, I found magic In fact…. Again…

Book/Movie Review=]

The Passage by Justin Cronin (http://enterthepassage.com/)- Very good take on Vampires, even managed to bring in Garlic, post apocalyptic setting, believable, brings you into the story.  You’ll be stoked.

Angelology by Danielle Trussoni (http://www.angelologist.com/) –  Sweet take on Angels and how they are, gulp, EVIL!  I had never even opened up to this door of thought and after reading the book, began to see parallels to Greek Gods, and patterns the world over, to the point that the book actually became believable.  That, and…. it was great action.

Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Quixote) -This is a fantastic book in that it shows you that perhaps madness, no, not madness, the daring to believe in something when all else fail to see it, this is what makes life worth living.  For instance, He happened upon to ladies of the game (prostitutes) very early on in the book and he referred to them as maidens and extolled thier virtures.  they in turn laughed and called him a madman and a fool and yet…. do you see?

1001 Arabian Nights by various authors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Thousand_and_One_Nights) – Great book.  I had never actually taken the time to read and had instead written it off as I had seen movies based on the various tales, but never bothered to read.  I am glad I did.  Not only is it a fantastic read, I too would have spared Scheherazades’ life, it also gave me a view of What Baghdad/The Middle East was like prior to oil madness and war.  Key to looking at the world with clear eyes.  I hope you find it as enjoyable as I did.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon (no website that I could find so, Wiki site – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Curious_Incident_of_the_Dog_in_the_Night-Time):  Such a pleasure to read it accompanied me everywhere.  I will not say a thing about it as it is such a wonderful book that truly redefined mystery novels for me.  I never saw anything coming.  I HIGHLY recommend it.

The Immortals – http://www.immortalsmovie.com/flash.html:  Amazing movie, it definitely has violence, but, honestly, I think real life would have had a lot more.  I dont want to say too much as I find hard to really put it together in a way that would make you want to see it.  Suffice to say, It was rad, both Diana and I were totally taken, whoever wrote this was on point, the director rocked and the cast was super ninja.  Even the 3D was super cool!

The Next Three Days – http://thenextthreedaysmovie.com/:  This was a movie that I was made to watch kicking and screaming and I am so glad Diana forced it upon me.  One of the best movies that i have seen in my life.  A totally normal guy who breaks his wife out of prison.  Sounds like a whatever movie…. nothing could be farther from the truth.  I base all movies by how motivated I am to hate characters or like them, if I feel happy/stressed/sad when the character does etc.  This movie is NINJA!  As a matter of fact, it gets the super Ninja gold supreme rating.

The Best Thing That Can Happen to a Croissant by Pablo Tusset – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pablo_Tusset   Absolutely fantastically super ninja supreme, I carried this book around with me like it was water in the desert.  THANK YOU Senore Tusset!

The Camel Club by David Baldacci – http://davidbaldacci.com/writing/novels/the-camel-club  Political thriller, what more can I say, if it’s here, I read it through, it was an engrossing book, lots of them out there, not all of them will be here.   Thanks to Mr. Baldacci!

Baudolino by Umberto Eco  – http://www.umbertoeco.com/en/ I have trouble writing anything about Mr. Ecos work because I cant come close to explaining….  He is Master.  A story about a man who lies so convincingly that it shapes the world with Veritas.

The Secret Supper by Javier Sierra (http://www.thesecretsupper.com/), a mind boggling look at messages hidden before our very eyes.  now I see why the church and state would seek to keep simple things as books hidden from our eyes….  With knowledge comes power, dont let yours be taken from you by your indifference.
