Banana-cacao Warrior shake… ready? GO!

Today is the second part of the Craneo-sacral Therapy workshop that Chris is teaching. There are six people in the group and it’s turning out great. My work as assistant consist mainly on laying on the bed and serve as model subject, sweet!… I also take care of providing what the man needs to be comfortable and do his thing. First, make sure he has some fuel in his stomach before we start, LittleMonkey style!

With little time before we head out a shake sounds like the perfect on-the-go breakfast and luckily we are VERY well equiped with some help from our friends at HealthForce Nutritionals so, let’s put some stuff in the blender!:

1 ripe banana
1 heaping Tbsp. of HealthForce vanilla Warrior Food
1 teaspoon HealthForce vanilla spice Maca Force powder
1 teaspoon each of bee pollen and chia seeds
1 Tbsp. oat bran
1 teaspoon organic raw cacao nibs

To this you add about one or two cups homemade almond milk – or soy milk, cold yerba mate, water or juice… I prefer the almond milk but all options are good.

Blend and we’re set! Time for some craneo-sacral!
The Warrior Food is a completely vegan protein superfood made with some really good stuff like brown rice protein, hemp protein, natural vanilla bean, nopal cactus, etc. Unlike other protein supplements, this will not damage your liver or kidneys and it won’t lead to excess of uric acid in your body.

As for the Maca powder, this is an ancient healing root for longevity, endurance and fertility. It is an adaptogen which means it ‘adapts’ to the specific needs to your body in order to balance and current imbalance specially regarding the lymphatic and immune systems. You know, sometimes we have too little or too much of a certain something in your body that creates imbalance that weakens your health.

Of course you can make a super ninja smoothie without the use of any supplement, but this is what we’re having today and honestly… it doesn’t get’s any better than this! delicious and oh so very healthy!!
